(March 27, 2012) – Rockwood announces the sale of Asset Recovery Corporation to Arrow Electronics. Prior to the transaction, Rockwood owned the company in partnership with Marshall Johnson, President of Asset Recovery, and additional investment partners.

Based in St. Paul, Minn., Asset Recovery provides end-of-life solutions (“e-recycling”) for computer and electronic equipment. The company offers comprehensive value recovery programs, in addition to managing the environmental, security and legal risks associated with technology disposal.

In 2006, Rockwood, Marshall and other investors acquired the company from three owner-operators, each of whom remained with the business for a multi-year transition. During the five-year investment, Asset Recovery experienced 40 percent annual equity value growth.
