Based in Fairfield, OH, AFC is a value-added procurement and logistics management company distributing fasteners and other low cost/high volume production components to original equipment manufacturers in a wide variety of industrial end markets. AFC complements its broad product portfolio by offering customers a wide range of value-added services, including vendor managed inventory programs, kitting, private labeling, packaging and assembly.
Rockwood’s Role
- Replaced exiting founder and enhanced a strong existing management team with hires of two key professional managers focused on operations, quality, sourcing, finance and IT
- Grew the service area of the business from just Ohio and Indiana to include Pennsylvania, Georgia, Michigan, Oregon and California via the acquisition of Dell Fastener and the opening of new distribution centers in support of key customers

- In February 2012, Rockwood partnered with AFC’s co-founders to recapitalize the business. Two years later, AFC acquired Dell Fastener, a distributor of fasteners and a full-service supply chain logistics provider headquartered near Pittsburgh, PA, with an additional facility in Atlanta, GA. In March 2015, AFC was sold to Incline Equity.
