Jurrell Casey, current Denver Bronco and five-time Pro Bowl defensive end selection with the Tennessee Titans, joined Aurora Public School (APS) families and staff on Sept. 21, 2020 for an online event that highlighted his goals for The Casey Fund, and was dedicated to supporting Denver area youth, highlighting the resiliency of families, and demonstrating the success of the ACTION Zone’s Community Schools model. The effort to help close the digital divide for students at ACTION Zone schools, like APS, began after The Butterfly Foundation was approached by Joe Merrill at Rockwood Equity, who sought to advocate for the cause in memory of his late father.
