BUTLER, PA., March 8, 2017 – As previously communicated, an investment group including DJH Management and Rockwood Equity Partners acquired the business of the former Ibis Tek, LLC, in February, reincorporating as Ibis Tek, Inc. (the “Company”).  Industry veterans Vince Nardy and Phillip Won each joined the Company as CEO and CFO, respectively, effective January 1, 2017.

The company today announced the formation of its Board of Directors.  In addition to Mr. Nardy, several other key individuals have agreed to join Ibis Tek, Inc.’s Board, including:

Lieutenant General Joseph (Joe) Yakovac (retired) – Lieutenant General Yakovac, a native of Western Pennsylvania, retired from the United States Army in 2007, concluding 30 years of military service. His last assignment was Director of the Army Acquisition Corps and Military Deputy to the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Acquisition, Logistics, and Technology. In those roles, Lieutenant General Yakovac managed a dedicated team of military and civilian acquisition experts responsible for ensuring that America’s soldiers received state-of-the-art critical systems and support across a full spectrum of Army operations. He also provided critical military insight to the Department of Defense senior civilian leadership on acquisition management, technological infrastructure development and systems management.  Previously, Lieutenant General Yakovac worked in systems acquisition, U.S. Army Tank-Automotive Command (TACOM), and in systems management and horizontal technology integration for the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Acquisition, Logistics, and Technology.

Lieutenant General Yakovac was commissioned in the infantry upon his graduation from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. He served as a Platoon Leader, Executive Officer, and Company Commander in mechanized infantry units. He earned a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder before returning to West Point as an Assistant Professor.  He is a graduate of the Armor Officer Advanced Course, the Army Command and General Staff College, the Defense Systems Management College and the Industrial College of the Armed Forces. He has earned the Expert Infantry Badge, the Ranger Tab, the Parachutist Badge, and for his service has received the Distinguished Service Medal, the Legion of Merit three times and the Army Meritorious Service Medal seven times.  Lieutenant General Yakovac previously served on the board of Directors of HDT Global (formerly known as Hunter Defense Technologies) during Vince Nardy’s tenure as CEO.

John (Jack) Custer – Mr. Custer brings more than 40 years of experience in the defense industry to Ibis Tek.   He provides deep knowledge in contracting and business development with the Department of Defense (DoD) and has a proven track record in leadership, professionalism and integrity.  Jack was with HDT Global from 1975 to 2015, most recently as Senior Vice President for HDT’s U.S. programs.  He led the business development activities and oversaw all new contract proposals for programmatic opportunities within the company for all branches of the DoD and joint programs.  He has successfully executed hundreds of DoD contracts from small parts orders to individual multi-year contracts in excess of $100 million. His roles at HDT included: 10 years in contract administration, 10 years in contract management, and 20 years in business development, including 10 years with CEO Vince Nardy.  In each of these roles, he brought a disciplined approach and leadership and saw HDT grow from $16 million to more than $500 million in revenues between 2000 and 2010.

Jack studied business management and marketing at Cuyahoga Community College and participated in numerous continuing education programs at George Washington University. He has been recognized as an industry leader by Military Medical / NBC Magazine and has lifetime affiliations with AUSA and NDIA.  He lives in Stow, OH with his wife and children, where they are very active members of their parish and children’s schools.

Deron (DJ) Haley – Mr. Haley is a native of Mars, Pennsylvania and is currently the Managing Partner of DJH Management LLC. He also is a Partner at Halo Privacy, an early-stage cyber communications firm that offers an integrated business and personal communications and data platform for c-suite executives, high profile individuals and family offices.

Prior to joining Halo, DJ spent more than 15 years in capital markets and asset management, and was most recently the Chief Operating Officer of Hound Partners, LLC, a $5B global equity hedge fund.  Prior to Hound, he led firm-wide operational and management initiatives as a senior executive at Ziff Brothers Investments, LLC, a multi-billion dollar, global family office that invested directly in private and public equities, fixed income, global-macro, and commodities.

DJ began his finance career as an equity research analyst, and later a registered trader. Prior to finance, he served five years active duty in the United States Navy (SEAL). DJ is a founding Director of the Navy SEAL Foundation and is a member of its Governance, Risk, and Investment Committees. He also serves on the Investment Committee of The Heinz Endowments, based in Pittsburgh.  DJ holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and a Masters in Business Administration from Harvard University. He currently lives in New York with his wife and two sons.

Greg Warner – Mr. Warner is the President of Ingleside Investors (aka A.C. Israel Enterprises, Inc.), which he joined in 1998.  As President, he oversees all aspects of the firm’s investment and operating activities.  Prior to joining Ingleside, Greg worked as a consultant for McKinsey & Company in its New York, Los Angeles and Hong Kong offices, advising companies in the financial services industry. He also spent four years in marketing and sales with IBM in Southern California.

Greg currently is a Director of A.C. Israel Enterprises, Inc., Gautier Steel, Street Diligence, PawTree, the Josiah Macy Foundation (where he serves as the investment committee head) and Carnegie Hill Neighbors. He serves on the advisory boards of Appalachian Mineral Partners and Starwood Fund IV and is a member of the World Presidents’ Organization (WPO).  Greg received a B.S. in Engineering from the University of California at San Diego, graduating Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa, and an MBA from the Wharton School, graduating with distinction.
