RockWood's investment team is responsible for leading the daily activities of the firm, including evaluating, structuring, and negotiating new investment opportunities, and working closely with the management teams of our portfolio companies to build value through a variety of initiatives. Additionally, RockWood's investment team serves as the investment committee for all new and follow-on investments.

Owen M. Colligan, Managing Director
Mr. Colligan operates from the firm's Cleveland office. Mr. Colligan co-founded RockWood in September 1999 to focus on the acquisition of companies in the lower middle-market. Mr. Colligan is involved in all aspects of RockWood's activities from origination, analysis, negotiating, structuring, executing, and financing of transactions, as well as the ongoing management of RockWood investments. Prior to forming RockWood, Mr. Colligan worked in the New York and Hong Kong offices of Kelley Drye & Warren as a corporate attorney specializing in mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Colligan also worked as an investment banker at Schroder & Co. in New York. Mr. Colligan received a B.S. in finance from the University of Buffalo, a J.D. from New York University and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. Mr. Colligan currently serves on the Board of Directors of Global Thermoelectric, Inc.
Brett R. Keith, Managing Director
Mr. Keith operates from the firm's New York office. Mr. Keith co-founded RockWood in September 1999 to focus on the acquisition of companies in the lower middle-market. Mr. Keith is involved in all aspects of RockWood's activities from origination, analysis, negotiating, structuring, executing, and financing of transactions, as well as the ongoing management of RockWood investments. Earlier in his career, Mr. Keith worked as an investment banker in the Mergers & Acquisitions group of Lehman Brothers' New York office, and as the Controller of Jacobson Machine Works, a turnaround company owned by the private equity firm of Goldner, Hawn, Johnson & Morrison. Mr. Keith also served in an advisory role in the sale of his family-controlled pharmaceutical services company to American Medserve Corporation, an industry consolidation sponsored by the private equity firm of Golder, Thoma, Cressy, Rauner. Mr. Keith began his career as a financial consultant and Certified Public Accountant at Grant Thornton LLP and Arthur Andersen LLP. Mr. Keith received a B.A., with dual degrees in finance and accounting, from the University of St. Thomas, St. Paul, MN, and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. Mr. Keith's is currently on the Board of Directors of Global Thermoelectric, Inc., DeZURIK Water Controls, Artistic Holdings, and Action Legal. He is also on the Advisory Board of Granite Equity Partners, based in Minneapolis, MN.
Adam J. Conrad, Vice President
Mr. Conrad operates from the firm's Cleveland office. Mr. Conrad joined RockWood in 2005, and is involved in all aspects of RockWood's activities, including transaction sourcing, structuring, negotiation and monitoring of portfolio companies. With more than eight years of capital markets and principal investing experience, he has been involved in dozens of transactions in the middle market, spanning early stage growth capital to mature leveraged buyouts. Prior to joining RockWood, Mr. Conrad served as a Vice President in the Investment Banking Group at National City Corporation in Cleveland where he provided M&A advisory services to middle-market companies in a variety of industries. Previously, he worked as an Associate Director in the Financial Sponsors Group at UBS Investment Bank in New York, where he provided financing and advisory services to private equity sponsors with several billion dollars under management. Mr. Conrad began his career with Deloitte Consulting in Cincinnati, where he advised clients in the area of strategy, operations, and M&A. Mr. Conrad holds a B.S. in economics from Miami University and a M.B.A. with high distinction from the University of Michigan Business School, where he was an active participant in the Wolverine Venture Fund and recipient of the David T. Shelby Award. Mr. Conrad currently serves on the Board of Directors of Asset Recovery Corp. and Global Thermoelectric, Inc.
H. Josef Merrill, Vice President
Mr. Merrill joined RockWood's Cleveland office in 2006 and focuses on transaction sourcing, structuring, negotiation and monitoring of portfolio companies. Prior to joining RockWood Mr. Merrill served as an Associate with Baird Capital Partners, a middle market leveraged buyout fund based in Chicago. At BCP Mr. Merrill focused on the execution of Manufactured Products and Business Services change of control transactions. Preceding his tenure at BCP, Mr. Merrill was a Senior Analyst in the Investment Banking Division of Robert W. Baird & Company, where he focused on the execution of international and domestic middle market Mergers and Acquisitions for companies in the Industrial and Business Services sectors. He holds a B.S. in Economics, with a concentration in Finance, from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and an M.B.A. from The Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, where he was an Austin Scholar. Mr. Merrill currently serves on the Board of Directors of Medical Positioning, Inc.
Reed Blocksom, Analyst
Mr. Blocksom joined RockWood's Cleveland office in 2008 and focuses on transaction sourcing, analysis, due diligence, and financing. Prior to joining RockWood, Mr. Blocksom worked as an Analyst with the Real Estate Private Equity Group at KeyBank where he was responsible for the evaluation of investment opportunities in the office, industrial, and multifamily sectors. Previously, Mr. Blocksom was an Analyst with KeyBanc Capital Markets where he focused on capital raising transactions and advisory services for middle market businesses across a variety of industries. Mr. Blocksom graduated summa cum laude from The Ohio State University where he holds a B.S. in Business Administration with Honors from the Fisher College of Business.
Mary R. Lindow, Controller
Ms. Lindow operates from the firm's Cleveland office. She joined RockWood in 2006 and is responsible for managing many of the financial and administrative activities of the firm. Ms. Lindow has more than twelve years of corporate tax and financial management experience. Prior to joining RockWood, Ms. Lindow served as Controller for Bronx International, Inc. and as Director of Business Development and Tax for Shiloh Industries, Inc., an $800 million publicly-traded automotive supplier. She began her career as a Certified Public Accountant with Price Waterhouse LLP in Cleveland. Ms. Lindow holds a B.S. in Accounting from The University of Akron.
Rachael K. Brownlie, Office Manager
Ms. Brownlie operates from the firm's Cleveland office. She joined RockWood in 2007 and is responsible for the administrative management of the firm. Ms. Brownlie has five years of administrative office support experience. Prior to joining RockWood she worked for Carlisle, McNellie, Rini, Kramer, and Ulrich Co LPA’s and for Noveon, Inc. Ms Brownlie received a B.S. in Marketing from John Carroll University.
