In December 2011, merged Amistco together with the Separations and Mass Transfer business of ACS Industries, Inc. to create ACS-Amistco, which resulted in Rockwood owning a controlling stake in the combined companies while also providing a significant ownership stake to ACS shareholders on a go-forward basis.
