RockWood Equity Partners announced that it's portfolio company, Hunter Manufacturing Company, Inc., based in Cleveland, Ohio, has promoted Vince A. Nardy to the position of Chief Executive Officer, effective January 1, 2002. Mr. Nardy joined Hunter in July 2001 as the company's President. Before joining Hunter, Mr. Nardy ran a division of IVEX Chargeurs, Inc, based in Troy, Ohio. Prior to that, Mr. Nardy was President of WLS Stamping, a privately-owned metal stamping company. Mr. Nardy began his career with Avery Dennison Corporation where he spent 13 years in a variety of assignments, starting in their management training program. Mr. Nardy holds a B.S. in Finance and an MBA from Youngstown State University, Youngstown, Ohio.
Gene Strine, Hunter's former CEO, became Chairman effective the same date. Mr. Strine has been with Hunter since 1973 and has been instrumental in the company's dramatic growth over the past 30 years.
