RockWood Equity Partners announced that it's portfolio company, Hunter Defense Technologies (the parent company of Hunter Manufacturing Company), based in Cleveland, Ohio, has acquired the assets of Emanon International, a leading developer and producer of specialized NBC (nuclear, biological and chemical) air filtration products primarily utilized in HVAC systems for the rapidly emerging homeland defense market. The acquisition of Emanon will augment Hunter's existing NBC product offerings for both the military and homeland defense markets.
In existence as a defense contractor since the 1930's, Hunter has a long history of providing specialized products that serve the military's needs. Hunter has provided NBC products for the military since the 1980's, and today the company is the leading producer of NBC filters and filtration systems for both the military and homeland defense markets. Hunter is focused on growing both organically and through strategic add-on acquisitions, and Emanon is Hunter's third add-on acquisition in the past two years. Hunter has grown considerably since its acquisition by RockWood in 2000 and the company expects to generate approximately $65 million in revenues during calendar 2003.
